Fishing

My grandfather – Malcolm Clow – was a mad keen fisherman, and could catch fish anywhere. Or so it seemed to me as a child. And whilst my father and brother and I all enjoy fishing, none of us have really taken on legend status yet. So it is that I head of again for another days fishing, this time with Janine and kids. And though I don’t expect a huge haul, I am thankful for the simple things of life!

There are more important things than fishing that can be passed on to ones family while fishing.

Ps. Didn’t get to go fishing!

The garden of the Lord

I stumbled on this today. What an awesome way to look ahead to a new year in Jesus Christ.

We will this year gather celestial fruits on earthly ground, where faith and hope have made the desert like the garden of the Lord. – Spurgeon

Faith always has in it the seeds of spring. And the Lord Jesus loves nuturing the seeds of our faith.
