Unnecessary Detour

Unnecessary Detour – that which happens during transit when you forget to look at the map.

Still, you never know the unexpected bonuses of such a journey. Apart from the drawn out driving time required, there’s an adventure in every detour off the beaten track. In our case yesterday, that included a complicated but curvaceous coast line, beautiful bays and beaches, regional reserves and sizzling sights and sounds. Oh yes, and ruinous rain. That was disappointing.

Still, holidays aside, whilst my detours can be a bit haphazard, I’ve always found that God uses detours to great advantage in peoples lives. So don’t complain when Christ suddenly veers off at a tangent and expects you to follow. There’s a profitable adventure ahead!

Transit

Transit – A word describing the moving of a person or persons from one location to another without describing the journey.

In our case, today, that meant nine hours of driving starting 430am in New Plymouth and ending early afternoon in the Bay of Island;  trouble free! God is good.
